Our Travels - Day 13: Wooramel to Carnarvon: August 31st 2007

This morning, we were pleased to welcome Cedar Armstrong from Albany. Cedar brought Dick Garnett's tractor from Gnowangerup to Norseman and then kindly transported the Bywaters' bus from Ongerup to Perth for repairs. After collecting his own utilty and camper from Albany, he is now joining us for the rest of the trip!

We were away from the Wooramel Roadhouse at 7.00 am and had an uneventful journey to Carnarvon, arriving by 9.00 am.  This early start to our Carnarvon stopover gave everyone the opportunity to catch up with laundry, shopping etc and the treasurer was very relieved to bank the proceeds of the Dongara Auction.

The Wintersun Caravan Park made us very welcome, and we prepared for our visit to the Carnarvon Markets in the morning.

Jeff and Wendy located some Carnarvon bananas, always a treat, and shared them between the members of the crew.  George and Darryl provided some prawns and a good lunch time was had by all.
