Our Travels - Day 16: Pardoo to Broome: September 3rd 2007

Ron has been flown to Perth for medical treatment and we hope to see him back with us soon.  Our thoughts to Ron and Kerry during this difficult time

Weather continuing to warm up - all tractor team looking forward to a two night stopover in Broome.  Sometimes it is difficult to get a change of relief drivers amongst the crew as they enjoy it so much and do not want to relinquish their seat.  Tractor continues to perform really well.  The temperature had risen to 36 degrees with 7 % humidity when we were two hours from Broome - the females in the group were starting to wilt a bit whenever we stopped - thank goodness for airconditioned vehicles.

There are a few fires burning throughout the countryside as we travel closer to Broome with a strong north-easterly breeze blowing.  At 12 noon today we clocked up 7,000 kims from Melbourne over 16 days.
