There were a few bleary eyes this morning after quite a few members indudged in a rather late round table session which was obviously enjoyed by all present.
After arising at 4.30 am we drove to the Argyle Dam for sunrise photos over Lake Argyle. This was an awesome sight and we were all thrilled that we had made the effort. Local resident Leigh filled us in on a lot of details about the dam and we thoroughly enjoyed her visit.
The tractor is travelling exceedingly well and has not missed a beat. We were in all in awe of the scenery we came through today and it must be an amazing sight during the wet season with waterfalls and huge rivers flowing.
Thanks to the Toll boys for their valued input and suggestions for the daily diary - more tractor info requested
Arrived into Katherine late afternoon and were relieved to find shady trees at our overnight accommodation kindly supplied by 'Noel' to whom we are really grateful.
We were delighted to have a visit from Fay Miller MLA and her husband Mike. Fay's brother Glen Bates was a member of the 2004 Round SA Trek with the Chamberlain 9G Tractor Club of WA Inc and is fondly remembered from that time. Unfortunately Glen passed away last year after a long illness.
