Our Travels - Day 38 Cooma to Bairnsdale:  September 25th, 2007

A scheduled maintenance check for the tractor gave a couple of the team the opportunity to visit Floriade Canberra, high on the list of 'things to do'.  Although their stay was only brief, the time spent admiring the colourful floral displays and designs was extremely enjoyable in the glorious spring weather.

The team all met up at Cooma where local Bill Shanley had a couple of his 9G's on display, which created a lot of interest to our team and passers by.  Merchandise once again sold well.

The countryside driving through to Cooma was extremely dry in places, but as we climbed higher into the ranges, trees became more prolific and the countryside certanly looked healthier.

Still heading south and over the Great Dividing Range to join the Princess Highway at Cann River.  A driver change here and we headed west through the lush countryside of Gippsland, where contented dairy cows grazed.

A weary but happy crew enjoyed a delicious meal at the Australian-Italian Club in Bairnsdale.
