Our Travels - Day 7: Mundrabilla to Norseman: August 25th 2007

After a great day covering 614kms over fifteen hours, we finally camped just off the highway.  TEC and escort set off at 5am as this was our longest day so far, 643kms to Norseman.

A HUGE THANK YOU to the unknown west bound lady truck driver, who kindly relayed a message along the line to another support vehicle when one of our vehicles  was having mechanical problems, 320kms from Norseman.

The alternator was found to be the problem and it was agreed that one of the escort utes tow the broken down vehicle towards Balladonia.  The message thankfully got through and our ‘rescue boys’ eventually arrived and towed the sick one into Norseman.

HUGE THANKYOU’s also to the many truckies who passed messages up and down the line for us, keeping our crew all in touch with each other.

All arrived safely at Gateway Caravan Park, Norseman, after a long day.  To cut a long story short – the vehicle in question has now been attended to and is working well once more. Many thanks to all involved in this period.
